The Buzz

The College Project’s The Buzz program is…

Designed to help students, in 8th through 12th grades, develop strong study skills in order to increase their chances for college acceptance and scholarships.

To help identify colleges that will be a good match, walk students through the necessary steps for college admission, and understand the financial aid process.

Geared towards families that can’t afford to hire a personal college planner, but still desire the same, important, college admissions and financial aid information.

Monthly group discussions led by an experienced college planner.

The Buzz has a commitment of…

  • Attending one group session – separated by grade – each month starting in October, and ending in May.
  • Commit to an entire year of learning at $30 per class.

The Buzz offers monthly workshops designed to…

  • Strengthen students’ academic, and personal skills.
  • Assist students in in finding “good-match” colleges.
  • Put students in position to be accepted to – and receive scholarship/financial aid – from their top college choices.

The Buzz is
looking for…

  • Students with strong academic potential.
  • An enthusiastic desire to learn more about the college admissions, and financial aid process.
  • Any student that fits the above criteria living in Fayette, and surrounding counties.
